Origin Story
Bob Sumerel Tire was founded in 1968 as Bob Sumerel took over a vacant gas station in a Cincinnati, Ohio suburb and entered the retail passenger tire and service business. Then three years later in 1971 he started selling truck tires and service to the trucking and transportation industry.
Bob Sumerel Tire Company’s sole focus for the past 15 plus years has been truck tire service, retreading, wheel reconditioning and new tire distribution. Currently Bob Sumerel Tire Company is one of the industry’s largest Truck Tire retreaders, and Solutions provider to the Transportation industry. Our company culture is centered around our motto “Bob Sumerel Really Cares.” It is a whatever it takes attitude to take care of our customers and our employees/team members.
